"Digger" is a satirical disaster-comedy following Digger Rockwell (Tom Cruise), an ambitious, ultra-wealthy oil tycoon. During an aggressive deep-drilling operation in Greenland, Rockwell's machinery creates a massive fissure in the earth, unleashing a catastrophic chain reaction that threatens the entire planet. Tasked by the President of the United States (John Goodman) with fixing the environmental crisis, Rockwell embarks on a chaotic PR blitz and frantic globe-trotting mission. Driven by boundless hubris and greed, he tries to position himself as humanity's grand savior while secretly doing everything possible to avoid shutting down his lucrative energy empire.
